Remember back in March when the Trump administration told the courts to go fuck themselves when we sent Kilmar Armando Abrego Garcia to serve in El Salvador’s Mega Prison? It seemed like the admin was serious about getting these invaders out by any means necessary. I mean senators even went down there to be sympathetic that this guy was finally rotting away outside America where he belongs.
Well, now we can kiss that “victory” goodbye, as in Pam finally dropped the Fox News guest appearances so she can bring him back home and be tried in an American criminal court. Which is a high chance he will go in our prison and live out his days until he dies of old age.
Mistakenly deported Salvadoran native Kilmar Abrego Garcia appeared in a Tennessee courtroom Friday, hours after he was brought back to the United States to face criminal charges for allegedly transporting undocumented migrants within the U.S.
More than two months after the Trump administration admitted it mistakenly deported Abrego Garcia from Maryland to his native El Salvador, a two-count indictment unsealed Friday alleges that he participated in a yearslong conspiracy to haul undocumented migrants from Texas to the interior of the country.
The return of Abrego Garcia from his native El Salvador follows a series of court battles in which the Trump administration repeatedly said it was unable to bring him back, drawing the country toward the brink of a constitutional crisis when the administration failed to heed the Supreme Court’s order to facilitate his return.
He made his initial court appearance Friday evening in the Middle District of Tennessee, answering “Yes, I understand” in Spanish when U.S. Magistrate Judge Barbara Holmes asked him if he understood the charges against him.
Judge Homes set a hearing for June 13, where Abrego Garcia will be arraigned on charges and the judge will take up the government’s motion to hold him in pre-trial detention on the grounds that he “poses a danger to the community and a serious risk of flight” He will remain in federal custody in Tennessee pending next week’s hearing.
“If convicted at trial, the defendant faces a maximum punishment of 10 years’ imprisonment for ‘each alien’ he transported,” said the government’s motion for detention, which also contained an allegation — not included in the indictment — that one of Abrego Garcia’s co-conspirators told authorities that Abrego Garcia participated in the murder of a rival gang member’s mother in El Salvador.
Abrego Garcia’s attorney, in an online press briefing, called the charges against his client “an abuse of power.”
So we had a constitutional crisis in the courts and ensured this power move cannot be done ever again. Just to cave to the liberal judges and bring him back. Also add in him potentially living his entire life in a country where he’s not a citizen for good measure too.
This is the admin that said they can just do things, by the way.
What is even more sad is that when Pam announced taxpayers are going to spend decades feeding and ensuring this guy doesn’t get killed by a hit job behind bars, she did so with glee and celebration. Because owning the left meant returning this guy to live as an illegal alien exploiting native taxpayer money.
The left is totally seething that an illegal people smuggler they demanded he return gets free healthcare, housing, food, services, and 24/7 surveillance to ensure he doesn’t get hurt. All paid for by you and me, along with 90-year-olds who have to file for bankruptcy due to property taxes.
If we know this guy is a piece of shit, just keep him locked away in El Salvador. The people supporting the invaders don’t care if a court has to definitively prove this guy did the things he’s accused of. Right now they are starting riots to stop ICE from deporting the Home Depot workers. It’s as stupid as boasting we’re now taking care of El Chapo so he can die peacefully after causing who knows how many deaths of Americans from his drug empire.
America’s prison system shouldn’t be a place to house the world’s criminals. All we need to do is keep the border closed, and their reign of evil will stop spilling over here.
