I find it funny that out of everything that could have taken 4chan down, it would be the time they killed the QA board, which led to Soyjak.party being launched. The cancel culture or the videos claiming they were some dark net terrorist org didn’t even faze them, but angering the soyteens was the final straw for their website.
One of the main problems with 4cuck is that their servers and structure were seriously outdated. Pretty much when the Japanese guy took over, he didn’t do anything to improve the code or web security, which itself was outdated when Moot left 4chan.
Once a hacker managed to find a way in, there was no stopping what would happen next. The Soyteens took control of the entire website and restored the QA board that had been dead for 4 years.
They also managed to get ahold of every single email and piece of information for every janny on 4chan since they used their personal emails and names when applying to work for free.
They also found a few interesting things when they briefly controlled 4chan. One is that the highest country of origin on /pol/ was from Israel.
Another is a whole list of banned insults to consoles on the V board. Along with the fact that there was no censorship for any insults to the Xbox on V.
Jannies probably got the worst of it since the jig was finally up in that they could ban people for their own personal reasons.
Finally, the source code of 4chan was dumped and released to the public.
This was all in the span of a few hours, and now 4chan has been taken offline, with the potential final post ever being a Chicken Jockey thread.
All the site had to do was not take down the QA board because they were being mean to the trannies on the LGBT board.
Once Hiroyuki Nishimura fixes this mess, it will be too late. Most of the users will leave after they see how 4chan was a honeypot this whole time and not the anonymous dark web site that the media paints it to be. Most would go to Twitter while the others make their own chan sites.
4chan in 2025 isn’t that good to begin with. Most of the screenshots are from long ago, and most people who still glaze it are people who were too young or started hating it as troll terrorists. Losing it now isn’t a loss when X is as coal as Gab.
