The pardoning of the Jan 6 Patriots has to be the easiest dub in history before and after for the American Right. We don’t need to pass any bill or start some social movement that spends 50 years going nowhere. All it needs is a blanket pardon which will make the liberals seethe and even compensation which will make them more mad. Add in that the left wing narrative on the event is proven to be fake.
Well since the GOP admires being seen as common sense before all else we are going to take this and shoot ourselves in the foot with it. This time we are going to allow people to stay in legal hell over this idea of being seen as fair since we go through this by “case by case.” While the left doesn’t appreciate us compromising for them the “evidence” for this over blank is fake. Feds won’t get arrested for what they did but if you followed their instruction in breaking a window then you aren’t pardoned and remain in prison.
More and more Republicans are pushing for this. First it was JD Vance and now Pam Bondi is officially confirming that this is the plan even though for the last 4 years we were marketed with a promise of 100% pardon day one.
Keep in mind this is what happens every time it goes by Case by Case.
What is even sadder is that Conservatives who were all in for Blanket pardon even marketing it as a reason to vote for Trump are celebrating this utter betrayal.
This is a preview of what is going to happen for Trump’s last 4 years in DC. Its going to be compromise and Betrayal every day and these people telling you this was the victory all along or blame you for not shilling downticket voting hard enough when we inevitably lose the midterms. It already started with no question support for Mike Johnson and John Thune which means the Republican Establishment that tried to rid him for 3 years. Now its going to extend to every campaign promise.
Enjoy this blonde roastie DOJ since that is what you voted for to save innocent patriots who were arrested without due process. I’m sure the people who probably won’t be feds who get excluded from the list will be jumping with joy that we pretended to be this bipartisan team player even though the Left wants them killed.
