There is a reason that nowadays these Conservative pundits who endorse hyper deregulation GDP over all else pundits aren’t taken seriously. They are millionaires who are only paid to talk for 3 hours and then do fuck all while their supporters break their backs from sending them money thinking they are saving the country. Another is that they can’t seem to grasp that their economic upbringings from the 1990s or 2000s isn’t the same case today despite constantly whining about Biden inflation and national debt for the last couple of years.
They don’t care in the end since if they see imaginary percentages go green then it good. None of the problems most Republicans face will face them. So all they do when not grifting is complaining about 70K not being enough for someone to survive in 2025.
So this post showed how a UPS driver makes 70K a year but will end up marrying a old roastie who is also fit, but he ends up having to still live in his parent’s house.
Anyone could see that if this is the outcome even with a no college salary like that should be alarm that the 50s dream the Right Wing wants to go back to isn’t even possible. You can’t even achieve it with an apartment so you make 70K while living in the basement and end up having to marry a 32 year old woman because no one in his age range wants him.
Still this doesn’t make the boomer pundits and the Lolberts decry how this is “entitlement” and 70K is actually totally livable in 2025.
One guy who seems to lost the plot on how bad it is now compared to then is Matt Walsh. He can’t understand that it isn’t the 2000s anymore and whatever story he has cannot work in 2025.
I mean he has to ignore the fact inflation made things more unaffordable to win his narrative of the argument.
I find it funny that the Right Wing accepts that we are in a debt society that we are now gaslighting young people to become wage slaves at what used to be middle class salaries or else we will replace them. Since after all these people must be snob antifa leftists who just want to tax da rich Ben Shapiro from his mansion said so.
You either accept the Panda Express or chipotle serfdom, or you be thrown on the streets since any other option would upset the big corporations who want HB-1 Indians and offshoring.
Let them eat the Chipotle, live in the basement, make something that used to be livable 15 years ago, and train their future replacement from India. You don’t want to seen as a entitled lazy commie would you?
