Crunchyroll makes people pay money to watch a flatscreen of Miku

I can already see the fruits of Crunchyroll buying out their competition so they can automatically kill it and make their service the monopoly on Anime distribution outside of Japan.

Ignore that Sony Pictures in the last few years was pushing wokeism or other cringe accept that now Crunchyroll is going to be banking everything that involves Japanese entertainment now.

Their first act as a monopoly is to replace holograms of Miku and make people pay hundreds of dollars to watch a TV screen of the character instead.

Fans are furious after the recent North American Miku Expo events featured the virtual diva Hatsune Miku on a flat-screen TV instead of projected on glass to create a hologram effect which has been done in the past.

The entire North American Miku Expo which is “powered by Crunchyroll” has been blasted on Twitter. Instead of a full concert experience, concert-goers were treated to understocked merch vendors, expensive tickets, and most importantly a flat-screen TV where Miku would host her concert.

The entire stage at one event was dedicated to a TV that looks absolutely tiny in comparison, and the live band providing the accompaniment for the vocals was relegated to a literal cage in the corner.

People paid good money to see at least a hologram perform not a screen that isn’t even covering the entire stage. I mean its not that hard to do it they did these shows years before and they were sold out and successful.

The funnier part is that they still force the rules that were set for the actual hologram performances with this ripoff TV screen concert.

For the time being, fans are considering their legal options as they feel they were lied to by event organizers. Concert goers report being told that they needed to get the specific event lightstick or else it will reflect off the hologram (despite there being no hologram). They were also blocked from reselling their tickets on Ticketmaster. To top it all off, the fact that a TV was being used instead of a hologram was allegedly kept a secret from event goers until they arrived.

Some attendees created a Change.org petition in order to share their frustrations and collect evidence and firsthand accounts of the events.

Crunchyroll is going to ignore the responses since they now answer to nobody since they are the only people in town now. YouTubers plugged their service and now they bought out everyone that wasn’t a established streaming service that plays anime on the side and have become the bulldog.

Don’t get shocked when more of this bullshit happens with expos and other anime related things and find out Crunchyroll had something to do with it.
