I am amazed how Mike Johnson can somehow be worse than Kevin McCarthy. Because under this “MAGA” approved speaker that still had the approval of the same people that want the Paul Ryan types he has been surrendering on issue after issue.

Not a single win or real compromise was made under his watch and the MAGA caucus and the GOP are just letting it happen rather than accepting that he is just another stooge.

We got off high from the complete surrender on immigration and the border where we get nothing as the Democrats get more immigrants the GOP responds by just going to pass more money to Israel with the bonus on allowing Dems to increase the size of the IRS.

Sen. J.D. Vance and Rep. Kevin Hern are calling on Speaker Mike Johnson to bring up a new Israel aid bill without IRS cuts attached — even as they hail Johnson for resisting a House floor vote on the Senate’s still-unreleased border deal.

It’s a potential off-ramp for conservatives in both chambers who don’t want to take up Ukraine aid or the bipartisan immigration agreement that senators are hoping can shake loose President Joe Biden’s entire stalled foreign-aid plan.

Notably, Vance (R-Ohio) and Hern (R-Okla.) appear to acknowledge that the House-passed Israel aid bill — which pairs the funding with IRS cuts that would reduce overall revenue — is going nowhere in the Democratic Senate.

“For months, Senate leadership has attempted to trade Ukraine aid for a bill that would secure America’s border. If news reports are in any way accurate, that border negotiation is a complete policy failure. It’s time to address the issues that unite Republicans, not divide them,” Vance and Hern said in their statement, a copy of which was shared with POLITICO.

“We commend the Speaker for standing firm against this bad border deal, and urge him to put a clean, un-offset Israel bill on the floor of the House immediately. Let’s put an end to House and Senate Democrats’ political games on Israel.”

The thing is that these senators and the House voted for Ukraine aid weeks earlier because it was attached to 80 billion dollars for Israel. High chance this will happen again since after all every deficit penny counts in making sure Israel can protect their people, interests, and borders, while America needs to have every seat filled just for our government can think of protecting our border, people, and interests.

So the GOP just caves in again in the vain attempt to win brownie points by mild resistance to Ukraine while Israel gets more. They even give Dems more by not even making cuts to the IRS which was something they campaigned on in 2022.

I can’t wait to that these young guns are going to do with a Trump 2nd term.
