We’ve heard since November 2022 on how Desantis got Florida to vote +20 for the Republicans even though in 2018 he won by less than 1% and how this was somehow going to the beginning of some Desantis dynasty in Florida.
All Ron had to do is just wait it out to solidify it in 2026 before getting the torch in 28, but since the GOP wants the old glory people they threw that away for a failed presidential campaign that just took a giant L in Iowa.
One thing that is happening is the reversion from that +20% in 2022 to the status quo that has plagued Florida since forever. That Democrats and Republicans only winning by super slim margins and now even places where Desantis won are going blue.
A state district that voted +11 for Desantis in 2022 voted for a Democrat.
This is only the beginning for the decline of this Desantis red rave. I doubt that Rick Scott is going to survive his senate race this year if this trend continues.
