Boomers, Gen X, and early Millennials all grew up in their respective times where sex was common and that it was encouraged to have it. Boomers having the sexual revolution and Gen X / Millennials making society so open to sex and kinks that they now complain online about how to far it became.
Meanwhile Gen Z is suffering from a lack of gooning due to all the social economical stuff you can think of in the modern service industry west that has made Zoomers into what they are now. And maybe the fact that the raunchy stuff on TV is backfiring on their preferences on what they want to see.
UCLA found out that over 50% of Zoomers say that sex is overused in media and that it shouldn’t be portrayed in the content they watch.
Gen Z teens and young adults are having less sex than past generations and want less sexually explicit content shown in the media they watch.
A new study from UCLA found that Gen Z teenagers and adults are asking for fewer sex scenes in the television and movies they consume.
The “Teens and Screens” report out of the school’s Center for Scholars and Storytellers found that 51.5% of adolescents would prefer to see more content that portrays platonic relationships and close friendships.
The study also found that 44.4% of youth surveyed felt that romance in media was “overused.” In comparison, 39% would like to see a greater number of aromantic or asexual characters depicted in media.
47.5% of those surveyed also said that sex scenes in the majority of TV and movie plots were not necessary.
This shift is mostly because Zoomers have become the first sexless generation in history compared to generations before them.
Moore also said that unparalleled access to online resources and an increase in isolation and loneliness could also explain their desire to see less emphasis on sex in the media. Such access and a heightened yearning for online connectivity leads youth to seek media content that reflects the diversity of human experiences, such as aromantic and asexual characters.
“They remain lonely as social media has become so widespread and online social interactions have replaced real-life relationships,” she said. “In this regard, youth seek media that can be a source of consolation and connectivity. Many readers would love to read stories that are not limited to physical intimacy and sexual desire. Such readers would feel that there is someone out there willing to listen to them and understand them.”
Additionally, it may be difficult for young people to start having sexual intercourse because of social pressures and concerns such as performance anxiety, body image and a fear of sexually transmitted infections, Moore added.
Bradley Schurman, a demographic strategist based out of Washington D.C., told Fox News Digital that young people want on-screen representation that mirrors their real-life experience, which includes having less sex than previous generations.
People who lived in the sexual revolution or the degeneracy that happened in the 80s / 90s just don’t get on why this is not passing on to Zoomers.
They expect that the teen movies about how the main character needs to lose his virginity should be happening with Zoomers, but instead they have become le evil basement dwelling incels according in their eyes. When in reality the dating scene is rigged against anyone below 8 and all women you see in society are ugly or railed through by 50 men before she wants to settle down at 35 so Zoomer men just don’t even try to compete with it since they are screwed from day one. Along with the fact that they live in a society where the nuclear family is dead and they are expected to be working debt slaves.
it won’t be long until like Zoomers just end this whole open sex society that was built by the sexual revolution. And maybe even start perusing a Neo-Nuclear family path as an escape from the wasteland that Boomers have given them.
Conservative male influencers can Keep talking about how men need to stop social media, bootstraps, or basement dwellers bad it doesn’t hide the fact that every woman they see is gross and ugly and their existence is deemed evil by the things that surround them.
Blaming men is not the solution and never will be. I mean why complain about them not liking sex in media when we are meant to ban that shit as traditionalists? Or are we supposed to embrace that because “it didn’t affect me when I was your age and its consensual so its ok”.
