France gave up Niger since they saw that the effort of keeping the NATO backed fake government was just impossible and that it wasn’t worth the lives to convince NATO to start a coalition effort to get it back.

And Niger is a shithole that hasn’t even benefited France in their whole Napoleonic inspired conquests in North Afirca.

But to the uniparty senate who want to see as much burning flesh as possible before their bipartisan asses die off don’t want to leave because we must help the Nigers in restoring that wholesome democracy by sending troops to die without any objective.

WASHINGTON ― The Senate on Thursday overwhelmingly voted down a bill11-86 that would have required President Joe Biden to withdraw U.S. troops from Niger.

Sen. Rand Paul, R-Ky., secured a vote on the bill after Niger became the latest west African country to succumb to a coup in July, when a military junta ousted and detained democratically elected President Mohamed Bazoum.

“If we’re going to send someone’s son or daughter to a foreign country, if they are going to risk their life, Congress should vote on them being there,” Paul told Defense News. “They’re ruled by a military junta led by a guy that we trained in democracy training over here.”

Multiple members of the junta, most prominently Brig. Gen. Moussa Salaou Barmou who led Niger’s special operations forces and is now the chief of defense, have received U.S. military training.

Its like Iraq and Afghanistan all over again. The guy we propped up as the hero of democracy realized that it was a sham and then took over and now they are the bad guy we need to overthrow to restore democracy in x brown country.

How many times does this need to happen before Congress decides that these countries cannot have democracy in a country where the average IQ is 70 to 85.

The senates reasoning for striking this down is that Niger totally likes having our soldiers in their country without their approval because America is only good and everywhere we go they just love us coming in to do “counter terrorism”.

But the majority of senators argued in favor of keeping U.S. troops in Niger, despite the coup, to continue counterterrorism operations.

“The country wants American troops there stopping terrorists, providing safety, and we’re not going to abandon the Sahel part of Africa,” Senate Foreign Relations Chairman Ben Cardin, D-Md., told Defense News. “It is important for us to maintain our presence to work to reduce violence in the region.”

However, he stressed that “we cannot give comfort to those who’ve committed a coup,” and called for individual sanctions against the junta leaders.

He says this while France itself knew the coup was here to stay. So yeah you are going to Niger to die for no reason other than the long awaited dream of Niger’s voting for 2 corrupt candidates over and over again until the end of time.

House Foreign Affairs Chairman Mike McCaul, R-Texas, has started drafting legislation that would authorize Biden to attack Iran-backed proxies, including Lebanon’s paramilitary group Hezbollah, throughout the Middle East.

Rep. Dan Crenshaw, R-Texas, has also introduced a bill that would authorize the president to attack drug cartels in Mexico, a proposal all the leading Republican presidential candidates have endorsed to varying degrees.

But hey at least our leader is loved by the “international community” unlike those freedom hating terrorists in Niger, Syria, Russia, Iran, Lebanon, and many more countries.
