Telling men to run away from marriage because it’s hard is exactly why this generation of men are soft and easily manipulated to begin with. We have lost our pursuit of challenge. We have been defanged and neutered (and some cases that’s literally what they are advocating for).

Of course there’s problems with the modern world. Divorce laws are immoral and skewed against men. But instead of telling men to walk away, or trying to reform the divorce laws, why are we not answering the biggest question of all, which is WHY are people getting divorced?

Is it a coincidence that the more secular and material the world becomes, the more rotten and evil it also becomes? These people love to cite statistics and data, but they omit the largest piece of evidence in existence, which is the western worlds neglect of their soul.

I find it outright irresponsible that for all this discussion and debate around marriage, which is an institution bestowed upon us by God, that He is being shockingly left out of the conversation. You cannot have Christian morals and values without Christ.

The modern man’s greatest foe in this world is a lack of purpose or meaning. The modern man has been left wandering this hedonistic plane searching for distraction after distraction, all designed to keep him from asking the big question, “Why am I here?”

Do not run away from marriage. Don’t flee at the mere sight of adversity. Don’t distract yourself with meaningless possessions or experiences. Fight for your soul. It’s not easy, but it’s far more rewarding than anything these people are trying to sell you.
