For the record I still kinda like Matt since he is one of the better congressmen compared to almost everyone else in Florida or the House GOP.
But his shilling for McCarthy because hekin committee seats man will always be an L that he will never live down for the rest of his career. Now he comes to terms that maybe doing that might have been the wrong thing do as a self proclaimed member of the “MAGA Caucus”.
This is surprise to no one that Neocon McCarthy wouldn’t actually do anything that the Trump base campaigned for in 2022 since he doesn’t support those policies in the first place. He just wanted to control the House before East California turns blue or before he dies.
Now that the MAGA congressmen got him his wish in favor of some committee assignments he still won’t do it since he’s running the House as a Neocon and not some Trump ally. The DOJ could send Trump to prison and he won’t do anything about it because Trump got him the job and he’s now useless to him anymore.
He could actually stick to his guns and motion to Vacate but his pride won’t let him do that or even any other of the Trump allies in Congress that have sold out their very voters.
In the end nothing is going to change McCarthy is going to continue being speaker into 2024 if Trump wins and Trump will still campaign for him until the very end no matter how much he has betrayed him and his supporters.
Vote Red no matter what is going to keep this going until we actually demand the GOP to start acting like MAGA and not some fence sitter Neocons who pretend to be dissident.
Until that happens tho Matt is going to have to deal with the monster he decided to create in exchange for some committee assignments. At very least he’s regretting it unlike some Gorilla in Georgia.
