He isn’t going to win the nomination no matter how many Trump people like him over Desantis, But he is the first Pagan to ever run for office on the side that is representing Christian values and American conservatism.
Some people still hold on to him because of his whole anti big tech stuff even though all his other policies are something we should be avoiding along with this belief in cow shit curing covid but social media is more important than voting for Christian values.
CNN has come and said that Christian Conservatives who are Christian’s aren’t conservative because they follow through with it and in turn not vote for Vivek for being a pagan immigrant.
It’s discouraging to see some of my fellow conservatives attacking rising GOP presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy for his Hindu faith. It is wrong and un-American. It violates the spirit, if not the law, of the Constitution. And it could backfire on Christians as our share of the US population dwindles.
It is also entirely counterproductive for those who claim to support traditional values and religious liberty. Ramaswamy is steadily climbing in Republican primary voter support, closing in on Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis in some polls and neck-in-neck with him in the betting markets. He is also one of the candidates best positioned to further major conservative Christian agenda items.
Conservatives claim to embrace originalist jurisprudence that holds faithfully to the letter of the Constitution and the Founders’ intent. Yet those who criticize Ramaswamy because of his religion are undermining this core American document, which clearly states: “no religious Test shall ever be required as a Qualification to any Office or public Trust under the United States.”
Yet it’s clear that Ramaswamy is facing headwinds because of his faith.
This is the standard of the Christian right now. Heresy and demonic beliefs are fine to support as a Christian as long as the person isn’t preachy about it.
Even while Christian Republicans are more supporting having a Christian centered platform.
According to the Pew Research Center, 53% of conservative Republicans say being Christian is an important part of being truly American. And 61% of Republicans support declaring the United States a Christian nation. I disagree, even though I’d love to see more growth in American Christianity. America was started in part because of bloody religious persecution in Europe, and our Founders wanted respite from state-mandated religions. Not to mention that Jesus commanded us to “render therefore unto Caesar the things which are Caesar’s; and unto God the things that are God’s,” making a clear division between church and state.
This guy is a 2nd generation immigrant who doesn’t believe in the Faith that founded this country and is a silicon valley executive like his fellow Indians and South Asians. And he’s running on a platform of Traditional values.
But ignore all of that since he’s a model for “Judeo-Christian” values instead
He will never be American and he never was American.
But please sell out your Faith and belief system in the vain of having your social media back.
It will totally be worth it to have Tweets as the president of a Christian country worships cows in the White House.
