I have nothing against Southerners and Southern culture (because I am part of the South) and its something that should be protected in a time of propaganda about how the South are all evil racists that must be destroyed, But it doesn’t mean that I have problems with how its now represented and how the right wants to larp as it.

None of these guys who talk about trad country life are actually rural at all they are millionaire pundits who get paid to espouse the same opinions everyday since 2017. And even if they tried they would complain about how hard it is to work hard labor for 80 hours a week and live in a hollowed out town full of pain killer addicts thanks to neoliberalism throwing them under the bus.

One rising aspect of this Southern larp is all these country songs talking about how bad the evil people from DC or Yankees in general and how we just want to live in hekin freedumb along with the other stuff.

Oliver Anthony just made this type of song and Con inc is just eating it up.

Nothing special about it its a guy who’s sweating like crazy with a sus shirt singing about how bad DC is. The people he doesn’t like don’t care about this at all. They are going to exploit our country for a certain group that he and other country larpers hate pointed out because they believe Israel is our greatest ally.

But it doesn’t stop people like Matt Walsh from getting his soapboax and talk about how actually this is a thing we should embrace.

Doesn’t he realize he is not a normal person he makes millions off of these guys who work 120 hours a week doing back breaking labor and get disabled at 40 in their fantasy they are living a right wing lifestyle.

Meanwhile voting and endorsing neoliberal policies that destroyed rural communities since the 1970s because Walmart products might be a few cents more if that free trade deal doesn’t happen.

This whole thing is going to fly away in the next few weeks. It always happens when these songs get made.

Nothing is going to change the DC people are still going to exist and you will never be a hekin trad Cowboy because you bust your ass on a job for barley above minimum wage that will just be sent to China.
