Malcolm says our “hate” of homosexuals is what’s causing the Republican party to consistently lose elections.

Let’s take a look at the data that contradicts this assessment:

Donald Trump was touted as the first “pro-gay” president by Republicans, considering even Obama didn’t support gay marriage at the beginning of his presidency.

Despite this, nearly 90% of LGBTQ voters had an unfavorable rating of Trump, and only 13% backed him for President. pic.twitter.com/Bu2llFWYHA
This is in line with historical voting patterns, in which Democrats have won the “pink vote” (LGBTQ) for decades, even while they stood against the legalization of gay marriage.

As Republicans have become more accepting of LGBTQ voters, they have lost support. pic.twitter.com/robkWcH1pb
LGBTQ voters are en masse more liberal than all voters, supporting liberal/left-leaning policies far more than the average American.

It’s also important to note that the “pink vote” makes up less than 3% of the population. So why the fixation on their support? pic.twitter.com/gZNUmYBADK
The argument being made is essentially: “Become less conservative to win less votes.”

Obviously this strategy is not effective and wrong.
Also the ratio is brutal lol.
