The House GOP claimed for weeks they would stop Biden’s reckless spending this time. After voting on every other spending bill he made since his presidency.

Then they cowed to just preventing America to default on its debt they helped build because gosh forbid the GDP and this entire fake and gay economy inevitably falls apart and America becomes Greece in 2025.

So in response they helped raise the debt ceiling by 3 Trillion dollars since fighting back is bad because muh imaginary economic numbers go red.

The Senate 63-36 vote on the debt limit is actually a little surprising given the House's 314-117 blowout.

In the House, 149 Republicans voted for it, and 71 voted no.

In the Senate, only 17 voted for it, while 31 voted no.

Basically, the 2:1 margins flipped.

The uniparty will never let America default since it would mean doomsday after decades of deindustrialization and making America into a ultra debt society.

Some Republicans are raising this as a victory for some reason. Thomas Massie sees as a win because we get a 1% spending cut in exchange for trillions of more debt.

I respect opposition to the Fiscal Responsibility Act, but I am voting yes.

I’ve been in Congress for a decade and this is the first real bill that cuts spending.

It also includes an automatic 1% cut to spending on January 1 if Congress doesn’t pass the 12 appropriations bills.

Butch lesbian MTG hailed it as win because she claims the bill would stop the IRS thugs dead in their tracks when community notes confirmed that wasn’t true.

They couldn’t even get what they wanted in this “compromise” bill that still is what the Democrats wanted in the first place.

None of the concessions aren’t even what they campaigned for or even in the bill at all.

Its all for stopping America inevitably falling into the 3rd world by extending the date a few years when our debt is more than GDP.

I hope that extra economic growth is going to be worth it when America becomes irl fallout in 2025 or 2030.
